THE FREE GIFT: God gave His Son

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son,

BAD NEWS: We are separated from God by sin
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death,
      
   
God is holy
Man is sinful
Sin is active rebellion or passive indifference to God,
in either thought or deed.
      
   
THE GOOD NEWS: God paid the price for us
Romans 5:8
God demonstrated His own love toward us
in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us
      
   
God sent His only Son
to die in our place to pay the price for our sin
